About the position

The position involves managing various functional areas of Portfolio Operations within a product-led organization, focusing on capital allocation, budget governance, capacity management, vendor performance, and contracts management. The role requires collaboration with senior management to lead and direct activities while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and effective problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct activities related to one or more Portfolio Operations functions while building expertise in other functions.
  • Oversee all aspects of assigned portfolio functional areas including budgeting (operational and capital), capacity/resource management, and estimation processes.
  • Identify and understand the scope of work, organization of work, and develop delivery plans and approaches.
  • Participate in audits and other functionally related activities.
  • Ensure processes and organizational alignment of portfolio management are achieved and enforced.
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to lead conversations with leaders across the organization.
  • Develop and influence a culture of continuous improvement in delivery methodologies and lead large-scale organizational change.
  • Set target deadlines, monitor progress of tasks, and summarize outcomes.
  • Provide leadership for team members and stakeholders and apply conflict resolution skills to resolve portfolio issues.
  • Coordinate contract management activities with leaders across the organization.

Requirements

  • 3-7 years of overall experience in Portfolio Operations or related fields.
  • Proven track record of delivering objectives on time and within budget.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey information to customers and all organizational levels.
  • Ability to participate in audits and other functionally related activities.
  • Mindset of driving data-driven decisions and supporting stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Accounting SDLC Life Cycles.
  • Familiarity with Technology Business Management.
