The Portfolio Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in overseeing Novo Nordisk's product portfolio across its lifecycle and ensuring central management for the relevant therapy area. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to optimize the performance of products from launch through maturity and Loss of Exclusivity (LOEs), ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics. The position is situated within the Commercial Strategy and Marketing group, which focuses on creating human-centered experiences that drive value through innovation and customer-centricity. The team is dedicated to crafting experiences that are fully integrated and aligned, putting empathy at the center of their strategies, powered by insights and foresight. In this role, the Portfolio Operations Specialist will conduct comprehensive assessments of the company's therapy area product portfolio, understanding each product's current market positioning, competitive landscape, revenue potential, and strategic importance to the organization. The specialist will develop and implement strategic plans for products across their lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine product positioning, pricing strategies, and lifecycle management tactics. This includes leading the development of comprehensive lifecycle management plans, identifying opportunities for portfolio optimization, and proactively managing risks associated with product lifecycle management. The specialist will also be responsible for anticipating and planning for upcoming Loss of Exclusivity (LOE) events, developing strategies to mitigate the impact of generic competition on revenue and market share. Establishing centralized management processes and frameworks will be crucial for streamlining portfolio oversight and decision-making, ensuring alignment with portfolio strategies across various commercial teams, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, and other stakeholders. The role requires monitoring the performance of products within the portfolio, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, market share, and profitability, and making recommendations for portfolio adjustments to maximize value.
