Within the Technology Portfolio Management team, the Portfolio Optimization Manager will work with the Director and key stakeholders to drive the enterprise optimization of our processes, toolset, and various portfolio models. This role will help implement changes to the existing model and define the future state to drive new ways of working with enhanced processes, data insights, and capabilities, to optimize technology, business, and product outcomes. The successful candidate will work with the Director, Portfolio to drive strategy, solutions design, requirements definition, and enablement. As a Portfolio Optimization Manager, you will form strong partnerships with key stakeholders to help enable data-driven decisions, establish new processes, and drive tooling innovation. This role will require strong and effective communication to evolve the way we manage our investment and support the Technology organization.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the enterprise-wide governance of portfolio transformation activities, focused on driving continuous optimization of processes, tools and insights to effectively manage the Tech portfolio.
  • Assist in the definition, planning, and build of multi-year transformation roadmap to achieve outcomes.
  • Enable actionable insights to Technology and Business Leadership to manage delivery risk and optimize investments across and within portfolios.
  • Using reporting tools, monitors the progress and collate insights for the financial and capacity planning and forecasting across a $2B Technology investment portfolio, including scenario planning.
  • Enable and champion a consistent taxonomy, reporting and metrics with Portfolio, Engineering, and Product leaders to enable data integrity, increase adoption and drive decisions.
  • Build an effective change management and feedback approach with Technology, Business, Product, and Finance partners to identify and action continual improvement opportunities.
  • Build a strong partnership with Tech Finance to collaborate and build deliverables for forecasting, annual, iterative, and long-range plans.
  • Engage with Technology Portfolio leads to provide transparency into actuals costing while effectively sharing risks and opportunities.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of program management experience.
  • Experience building presentations to structure messages that effectively inform and persuade.
  • Experience in process design, and automation; find ways to improve effectiveness, quality, and compliance.
  • Experience with stakeholder management.
  • Experience in the processes and tools that drive Technology portfolio and financial management such as Rally, Jira, Clarity, Apptio, Oracle, and Ariba.
  • Experience with analytical and data management skills.
  • Experience analyzing complex data, understand use needs and objectives, and translate them into effective solutions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.

  • Experience in Automation and PPM / Agile Lifecycle Tools.
