About the position

The Portfolio Planning Manager will be responsible for managing the development and maintenance of the Sempra Infrastructure (SI) Portfolio model, which consolidates all SI's projects and provides 10 years of financial projections with the ability to sensitize key variables. This model is crucial as it produces projections of GAAP Financial statements along with other key financial metrics. The projects under Sempra Infrastructure include opportunities in LNG, Net Zero, Energy Networks, and Clean Power. In this role, the manager will oversee the execution and management of the SI Portfolio Model, ensuring its ongoing development and maintenance. This requires a forward-thinking approach to assess the feasibility and effort required for modeling enhancements and requests. The manager must understand the key economic drivers of individual projects and construct high-level sensitivities in the portfolio model. Additionally, the position involves supervising financial analysts assigned to the SI Portfolio Model, necessitating close involvement in updates to the model, identifying optimal modeling paths, and addressing any inefficiencies or errors. The Portfolio Planning Manager will also review the modeling output for scenarios requested by stakeholders, presenting and discussing results with key stakeholders and senior management. Coordination with relevant functional areas within the company, such as tax, accounting, planning, treasury, and corporate development, is essential to ensure the model contains accurate methodologies and performs the required analyses and projections. Other duties may be assigned as needed, but these will constitute no more than 5% of the overall responsibilities.
