This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Investment Operations individual to contribute and lead a fast-developing, operationally focused team for key strategic clients of State Street's Middle Office Alpha Strategy business. The successful candidate will be part of State Street Global Services (SSGS), which provides asset owners and managers with essential financial tools to deliver effective investment solutions. The role is centered on investment operations, focusing on monitoring portfolio health for assigned accounts, addressing issues related to cash, settlements, valuation, reconciliations, ad-hoc processing, and reporting, as well as performing pre/post cycle reviews. Under the limited direction of senior management, the candidate will lead a team responsible for various operational functions, including strategic planning and oversight of the control framework. This position requires interaction with a multitude of colleagues within State Street, custodians, asset manager clients, prime brokers, and accounting agents. The candidate will act as a liaison between internal and external customers, advocating for the end customer and addressing urgent items with others. The role also involves guiding team members, problem-solving for escalated issues, and proactively reviewing operational controls, particularly in the reconciliation function of middle office services. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and present logs and power points, speak to systematic and one-off issues in the control environment, and manage and develop people across multiple global locations. Monitoring metrics, SLA adherence, and participating in manager meetings on these topics will be essential, along with implementing and designing process improvements to enhance operational quality and risk management controls. Utilizing data for trend analysis and leveraging it in the development of enhanced processes, procedures, and controls will also be a significant part of the role.
