About the position

The Portrait Photographer/Sales Associate at The Picture People is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable photography experiences for clients. This part-time role involves photographing a variety of customers, editing images, and driving sales to meet studio goals while maintaining a welcoming and professional studio environment.

Responsibilities

• Giving each customer an amazing experience from the moment they book their session until their portrait products are delivered.
• Photographing customers including infants, kids, families, couples, and more.
• Editing, printing, and framing digital images.
• Driving sales to meet studio goals.
• Ensuring data integrity of customer information and orders.
• Assisting with opening and closing procedures.
• Scheduling and confirming customer sessions.
• Maintaining a safe and clean environment for customers and employees.
• Ensuring that the studio exemplifies brand standards in its presentation to customers.
• Performing additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• Availability and willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the business.
• Photography experience preferred but a willingness to learn required.
• Experience in the service industry preferred (i.e. retail, tourism, hospitality, restaurant).
• Great communication and organizational skills.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team to meet goals.
• High energy and enthusiasm.
• Works well with children and adults.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional photography experience would be great, but it's not required.
• 1 year of photography experience preferred.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
