About the position

The POS Java Developer role at Bath & Body Works is a hands-on position focused on developing and improving the Point of Sale (POS) systems using Java microservices. The ideal candidate will work within a high-performance team, collaborating with multi-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions, while also enhancing application performance and resolving issues. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java features for POS systems.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
  • Enhance application performance and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following standard methodologies.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance functionality.
  • Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate into our development process.
  • Participate in framework discussions and assist with building Proof of Concept (POC)

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience in Java JEE, design patterns, microservices
  • Agile environment experience, including attending release planning meetings, sprint planning meetings, sprint retrospective and daily scrums
  • High-level technical documentation experience
  • Experience developing microservices using Spring Boot
  • Design and development experience using Restful APIs and Spring Security
  • Angular J, Bootstrap, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Unit and Integrated testing for applications
  • Web-application design and development experience for business reporting, monitoring tools like Datadog
  • Experience with Bitbucket/ GitLab for version control and build tools like Maven/ Gradle
  • Involve in development of commonly used angular components across teams such as directives for grid, pagination, conditional validations
  • Excellent communication, outstanding problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Point of Sale (Jumpmind Commerce) experience preferred
