About the position

The Junior High Girls Volleyball Coach at Gilbert Classical Academy is responsible for leading and developing the volleyball program for junior high students. This seasonal position requires a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for student-athletes while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and coaching standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the junior high girls volleyball team during practices and competitions.
• Develop training programs that enhance the skills and performance of student-athletes.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and games.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration regarding team activities and expectations.
• Promote sportsmanship and teamwork among players.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant coaching certifications and training requirements.

Requirements

• Possess or be able to obtain a teaching certification, substitute certification, or NFHS Sport Specific Course certification.
• Complete NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching course.
• Complete NFHS Concussion Course.
• Hold current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Obtain a Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card prior to processing.
