About The Position

A post-doctoral position is available in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering Department, based at UNC Chapel Hill. This research position will lead research in targeted therapeutics applications with biomedical ultrasonics. Potential projects include acoustically enhanced immunotherapy, targeted therapeutic delivery to the brain, and ultrasound targeted cancer therapies. Candidates will lead projects, conduct research, mentor junior team members, and write manuscripts, present at conferences, and contribute to grant proposals.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or other relevant doctoral degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Creative and highly motivated.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated experience in writing and executing grants.
  • Interest in and ability to collaborate with other researchers.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
