About the position
The Postdoctoral Associate position at New York University's College of Dentistry focuses on researching compartmentalized G protein signaling by internalized G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). The role involves studying the mechanisms of GPCR signaling, particularly how chemokine receptors influence cell migration, with the aim of developing innovative therapeutic solutions. The successful candidate will engage in interdisciplinary research, utilizing advanced microscopy and cell migration assays, and will also participate in collaborative projects within and outside the laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on compartmentalized G protein signaling by GPCRs.
- Investigate how chemokine receptors promote chemotactic cell migration.
- Utilize immune cell models and primary metastatic tissue for research.
- Apply advanced microscopy techniques and cell migration assays in experiments.
- Participate in secondary and collaborative projects within and outside the laboratory.
Requirements
- Possess a Ph.D. and/or M.D. with a strong background in Cell and Molecular Biology and Biomedical Research.
- Demonstrate motivation and creativity with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent experimental, scientific writing, and organizational skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
