About the position

The Post-Doctoral Fellow position at Colorado School of Mines focuses on leading research in porous materials design and structure optimization, particularly through multiphysics modeling of heterogeneous porous materials. The role involves collaboration with faculty, independent research, and contributions to academic publications and conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead independent research activities in collaboration with faculty advisor
  • Participate in group meetings
  • Submit a minimum of 2 research papers each year
  • Conduct preliminary reviews of student research products: proposals, defense presentations, thesis, technical papers
  • Assist graduate students in submitting their work for publication, as appropriate
  • Present findings at regional and national conferences

Requirements

  • PhD in Civil or Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering
  • Experience in multiphysics modeling of materials using OpenFOAM
  • Proficiency in Python (TensorFlow and PyTorch for ML)
  • Proficiency in programming using C++
