About The Position

The Post Doctoral Fellow in the Precision Health Research Core at the University of Missouri, St. Louis (UMSL) will lead and support research activities focused on multimodal neuroimaging processing. This role involves data curation and analysis in collaboration with experts in data science and statistics, with opportunities for professional development and first-authored publications. The position is remote and offers mentorship and technical support.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or similar biomedical or social science area
  • Working knowledge of the basic principles of brain MRI
  • Proficiency or capacity to utilize scripts for data processing and analysis (e.g., bash, python, and/or R)
  • Ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate ongoing efforts by the study team to harmonize data from existing biorepositories
  • Attend weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings
  • Communicate with the study team in writing and presentations (with support from senior investigators)
  • Assist in quality assurance of data
  • Assist and lead manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals
  • Assist with the development of new NIH research proposals
