About the position

The Post-Doctoral Fellow in Chemistry will focus on investigating molecular transducers to facilitate the synthesis of endergonic reaction cycles. This role emphasizes research, collaboration, and the development of innovative synthetic methods using advanced facilities. The candidate will engage with a research team, contribute to project meetings, and support junior members, fostering a collaborative and supportive lab environment.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate the use of molecular transducers for endergonic reaction cycles.
  • Develop synthetic methods using state-of-the-art facilities.
  • Collaborate with other research team members on project goals.
  • Train junior lab members in relevant techniques and methodologies.
  • Contribute to project meetings and administrative tasks.
  • Disseminate research findings to various scientific audiences.

Requirements

  • PhD in Organic Chemistry or a related field (photochemistry, organometallics, polymer synthesis).
  • Strong background in synthesis, photocatalysis, and energy transfer catalysis.
  • Ability to design, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot experiments independently.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation of findings.
  • Experience in managing collaborations and working in teams.
  • Commitment to laboratory safety and maintaining a detailed laboratory notebook.
