About the position

The Post-Doctoral Research Associate position in Palestinian Studies at Brown University is a two-year, non-renewable appointment aimed at fostering innovative academic inquiry in the field. The role emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches and contributions to Palestinian studies through research, teaching, and community service. The associate will engage in teaching, organizing workshops, advising students, and delivering public lectures, while also participating in research-related activities on campus.

Responsibilities

  • Teach one class per year.
  • Organize the annual New Directions in Palestinian Studies Workshop.
  • Advise students on academic matters.
  • Deliver an annual public lecture.
  • Participate in research-related programming on campus.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field completed within five years of the application deadline.
  • Completion of the Ph.D. by July 1, 2025.
  • Ability to contribute to the field of Palestinian studies.
