The New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Post Doctoral Research Associate to join our Physics Department. This position is focused on advancing our research in the field of quantum materials, specifically in areas such as single crystal growth, magnetic and transport characterization, and neutron scattering. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct experiments that synthesize high-quality samples of quantum materials, including chiral magnets and multiferroics, utilizing advanced techniques for their characterization. This role will involve performing neutron scattering experiments to explore the structural and dynamic properties of these materials, as well as analyzing experimental data and contributing to scientific publications in reputable journals. The Post Doctoral Research Associate will collaborate closely with team members, actively participate in scientific discussions, and contribute to the development of new research projects. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of experiments and methodologies in compliance with laboratory and institutional guidelines is essential. The tentative start date for this position is December 1, 2024, and the salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
