About the position
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Post-Doctoral Scholar Researcher, Otolaryngology Department, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. This is an opportunity for a researcher who has completed their doctoral studies and thesis to join a growing clinical department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV to be a full-time researcher dedicated to investigating diseases of our field. The applicant's area of expertise may include, but not be limited to, Bioengineering, Cancer Molecular Biology, Database Bio statistical Analysis, or Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. This position will involve interaction with departmental faculty, resident physicians in training, medical students, and other campus graduate/undergraduate faculty/students, as well as supervising research projects by residents and students. The candidate will be salaried and expected to apply to procure grant funding for ongoing and future research projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in the field of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.
- Supervise research projects by residents and students.
- Collaborate with departmental faculty and medical students.
- Apply for grant funding for ongoing and future research projects.
Requirements
- PhD degree from an accredited college or university.
- 1 - 3 years of preferred experience in biomedical research.
