About the position

The Post-Graduate Therapist for The Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Clinic at Wheaton College provides direct therapy services and completes administrative tasks associated with provision of therapy. The successful candidate will be an associate licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (or will be within 6 months of starting) who is working toward licensure in Marriage and Family Therapy. Strong candidates will possess solid clinical and administrative skills, teachability, and a team-oriented approach to work. Weekly supervision by an AAMFT approved supervisor is provided. The Post-Graduate Therapist will report to the Director of the MFT Clinic. The position is 1.00 FTE. The hours for this position are 40 hrs/week, 12 months/yr. This position pays $36,000- $40,000 annually.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 20-30 hours/week of direct client therapy (couples, families, individuals across the lifespan) in the Wheaton clinic location with the potential option to work in the Roseland clinic as well.
  • Complete administrative tasks associated with provision of therapy in a timely and thorough manner (clinical notes, client communication, billing, etc.).
  • Attend weekly supervision meetings.
  • Ensure confidentiality and maintenance of clinical records required for professional standards.
  • Participate in team oriented, training clinic culture.
  • Engage in marketing tasks as needed.
  • Assist in leading workshops and presentations for the community.

Requirements

  • Completed masters (MA or MS) in Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • ALMFT or working toward ALMFT within 6 months of starting.
  • Commitment to clinical competency, relational competency, interpersonal justice, and Christian distinctiveness.
  • Working toward LMFT.
