About The Position

The Post Harvest Manager is responsible for supporting and executing all phases of processing beginning at plant harvest. This includes key phases such as harvest, drying, bucking, curing, trimming, remediation, and processing. The Post Harvest Manager will lead, develop, and coach assigned Leads and respective team members to effectively and compliantly execute all assigned Processing tasks. The role involves overseeing day-to-day post-harvest activities, adjusting workflow and procedures to increase yields, efficiency, and overall team performance, while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and compliance with company policies and state regulations.

Requirements

• Experience in post-harvest processing or related field.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of compliance testing and quality control measures.
• Ability to create and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the cannabis industry or similar agricultural processing.
• Familiarity with seed-to-sale tracking systems.
• Background in agricultural science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of post-harvest processing including harvest, drying, bucking, curing, trimming, remediation, and processing.
• Lead, develop, and coach assigned Leads and team members in executing processing tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility, ensuring all areas are cleaned to the highest standards daily.
• Ensure optimal conditions in drying and curing areas, monitoring and maintaining temperature, humidity, and air movement.
• Create and implement SOPs, methods, and policies for post-harvest activities.
• Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and traceability within the seed-to-sale system.
• Monitor stock of post-harvest supplies and coordinate with Procurement for orders.
• Coordinate with cultivation, packaging, and extraction teams for efficient harvests and product flow.
• Compile KPIs and monitor daily/weekly productivity.
• Collect, compile, and report harvest output data.
• Coordinate release of completed flower batches to packaging and report projections to production managers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and state regulations.
• Review and monitor labor production schedules and advise on adjustments as needed.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
