About the position

The Post Production Field Technician role involves working under the supervision of the Field Service Manager to perform various technical tasks related to electrical systems and equipment. The technician will be responsible for navigating electrical drawings, troubleshooting instrumentation, and ensuring safe operations in high and low voltage environments. This position requires effective communication with clients and team members, as well as the ability to manage project documentation and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Navigate electrical drawings for high and low voltage control panels.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting capability for 4-20 milliamp instrumentation.
• Safely work in live high and low voltage environments.
• Communicate with programmers to resolve PLC control issues.
• Manage project calendars and contacts.
• Prepare correspondence including client letters, memos, and reports.
• Conduct warranty assessments and provide direction for warranty repairs.
• Generate and manage QC/Commissioning reports.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school, or five years related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence.
• Strong mathematical skills for computations and visual representations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
• Thorough working knowledge of the Internet, Adobe Master Collection, and Microsoft Office Suites.
• Maintain a valid California Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong ability to navigate electrical drawings.
• Moderate to strong understanding of instrumentation troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PLC controls.
