About the position

The Staff Sales Engineer for the Professional Services Organization at Intuit plays a crucial role in supporting the Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG). This position focuses on enabling Accountants, Partners, and Mid-Market Customers to effectively utilize the QuickBooks Online Ecosystem through strategic consulting, technology expertise, and implementation strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the accounting industry and SaaS solutions, with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the needs of Accounting Firms, small and mid-market businesses, and their accounting implications.
  • Lead technical discussions with Accounting Firms, Partners, and Mid-Market businesses to brainstorm solutions and assess technical feasibility.
  • Serve as a design and implementation consultant/expert to Accounting Firms and Mid-Market Businesses, discussing technical workflows and consulting with Partners at the C Level.
  • Consult and help design technical integrations with partners, focusing on user experience.
  • Work with product owners, integration managers, and partners to define integration requirements.
  • Provide product and technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, assisting the sales team in assessing the application of company products to meet partner and client needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various Intuit teams to drive tangible results.
  • Develop credibility and strong partnerships with partner technical teams to architect joint solutions for common customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Accounting Industry and SaaS partner organizations, including project management, consulting, and support.
  • Strong technology and business experience, preferably with Partners and clients.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify root causes and develop recommendations.
  • Demonstrated communication and collaborative skills to influence and work cross-functionally.
  • Strong understanding of small and mid-market business needs and their accounting implications.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying technical findings to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated and tenacious with a positive attitude.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and skills.
  • Client-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel.

Nice-to-haves
