About the position

As a Staff Sales Engineer within the Professional Services Organization at Intuit, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG). This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about enabling Accountants, Partners, and Mid-Market Customers to effectively utilize and recommend the QuickBooks Online (QBO) Ecosystem. Your expertise in strategic consulting, technology, and product implementation will be essential in creating delightful experiences for our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and leading change management processes, industry workflows, and the accounting implications of technology. You will need to embrace fast-moving environments and possess a deep understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions, particularly within the context of the QuickBooks Online Ecosystem. Your ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with various stakeholders will be crucial as you work to drive change and deliver exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the Accounting Industry and SaaS partner organizations, with at least 5 years of experience in a tech environment dealing with complex solutions. You will be expected to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a strong focus on partner and client needs. Your role will involve leading technical discussions, serving as a design and implementation consultant, and providing product and technical expertise throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the needs of Accounting Firms, small and mid-market businesses, and their accounting implications.
  • Lead technical discussions with Accounting Firms, Partners, and Mid-Market businesses to brainstorm solutions and determine technical feasibility.
  • Serve as a design and implementation consultant/expert to Accounting Firms and Mid-Market Businesses, discussing technical workflows and consulting with Partners at the C Level.
  • Consult and help design technical integrations with partners, ensuring a positive user experience.
  • Work with the product owner, integration manager, and partners to define integration requirements.
  • Provide product and technical expertise throughout the sales cycle, assisting the sales team in assessing potential applications of company products to meet partner and client needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various Intuit teams, including business development, product management, platform engineering, and partnership teams, to drive tangible results.
  • Develop credibility and strong partnerships with partner technical teams to architect joint solutions for common customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven 5+ years of experience in the Accounting Industry and SaaS partner organizations, particularly in tech environments dealing with complex solutions.
  • Strong technology and business experience, preferably working with Partners and clients.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes of issues and develop recommendations.
  • Demonstrated communication and collaborative skills with the ability to influence and work cross-functionally.
  • Strong understanding of small and mid-market business needs and their accounting implications.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated and tenacious with a balanced approach to challenges.
