About the position

As a Staff Sales Engineer for the Professional Services Organization at Intuit, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG). This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about enabling Accountants, Partners, and Mid-Market Customers to effectively utilize and recommend the QuickBooks Online (QBO) Ecosystem. Your expertise in strategic consulting, technology, and product implementation will be essential in creating delightful experiences for our clients. You will be responsible for understanding and leading change management, industry workflows, and the accounting implications of technology in a fast-paced environment. Your deep understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS) and the QuickBooks Online Ecosystem will be vital in this role. In this position, you will engage with various stakeholders, including Accounting Firms and Partners, to lead technical discussions and brainstorm solutions that meet their needs. You will serve as a design and implementation consultant, providing your expertise to help these organizations integrate our solutions effectively. Your ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences will be key in ensuring that all parties understand the solutions being proposed. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams within Intuit, including business development, product management, and platform engineering, to drive results and develop strong partnerships with our clients. Your role will require you to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while maintaining a focus on delivering the best possible customer experience. You will be expected to travel as needed to meet with clients and partners, ensuring that you are present to support their needs and foster strong relationships. Responsibilities

  • Understand Accounting Firms, small and mid-market business needs and their accounting implications
  • Lead technical discussions with Accounting Firms, Partners, and Mid-Market businesses to brainstorm solutions and determine technical feasibility
  • Serve as a design and implementation consultant/expert to Accounting Firms and Mid-Market Businesses
  • Consult and help design technical integrations with our partners being mindful of the user experience
  • Work with the product owner, integration manager and partner to define the integration
  • Provide product and technical expertise through sales cycle, pre and post sales
  • Assist the sales team in assessing potential application of company products to meet partner and client needs
  • Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams including: business development, product management, platform engineering, partnership, and business units to drive tangible results
  • Develop credibility and strong partnership with partner technical teams and work together to architect joint solutions for common customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven 5+ years in the Accounting Industry and (SaaS) partner organizations; tech environment, complex solutions, SaaS offerings (PM, Consulting, Support, Etc.)
  • Strong technology and business experience, preferably working with Partners and clients
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical orientation with the ability to identify root cause of issues, develop recommendations and influence others, driving change
  • Demonstrated communication & collaborative skills with ability to influence & work cross-functionally
  • Strong understanding of small and mid-market business needs and their accounting implications
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate technical and other findings across organizational levels to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Self-motivating, tenacious and balanced individual who brings 'can do' motivation
