About the position

The Post-sales Voice Collaboration Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful implementation and support of Cisco Unified Collaboration Suite solutions for customers across New York State and the Northeast Region. This position requires a collaborative approach, working directly with customers, account executives, and project managers to facilitate post-sales implementations. The engineer will serve as a technical expert, providing guidance and support throughout the delivery process, ensuring that all solutions meet the specific needs of the clients. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for the implementation and support of various Cisco voice solutions, including but not limited to Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection, and Contact Center Express (UCCX). The engineer will also engage in troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software products, addressing complex problems, and providing effective solutions. A solid understanding of Cisco network technologies, particularly as they relate to the Collaboration suite, is essential for success in this position. The engineer will also need to possess knowledge of Cisco LAN switch configurations, including core, distribution, and access layer topologies, as well as familiarity with Cisco firewalls and routers. This comprehensive understanding will enable the engineer to effectively support and implement Cisco's voice solutions, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with customers, account executives, and project managers in post-sales implementations.
  • Serve as a technical expert for post-sales delivery of Cisco voice solutions.
  • Provide implementation and support for Cisco Unified Collaboration Suite solutions, including CUCM, UCCX, and Unity Connection.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain hardware/software products, upgrading and providing solutions to complex problems.
  • Configure Cisco LAN switches and understand core, distribution, and access layer topologies as they relate to the Collaboration suite.
  • Work with Cisco firewalls and routers to ensure seamless integration of voice solutions.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience with Cisco Collaboration Products suite (UCCX, CUCM, Unity, etc.) in equipment and system installation and configuration.
  • Cisco training and/or certifications; CCNA Collaboration certification highly preferred.
  • Experience working in Cisco Commerce Workplace (CCW).
  • Exceptional communication skills and experience presenting to executive level management teams.
  • Self-driven with a history in the Telecommunications field, including TDM and IP telephony.
  • Knowledge of Cisco's Unified Collaboration portfolio (IP PBX, phones, voicemail, unified messaging, web collaboration, voice gateways, contact center suite, video).
  • Experience with large enterprises and/or large commercial accounts, understanding how to approach projects to drive preference for Cisco's Unified Collaboration solutions.
