About the position

The laboratory at Harvard Medical School is seeking immediate postdoc, student, and technician positions to explore the novel interface between stem cell biology and immunology, referred to as 'stem-immunology'. The research focuses on understanding how the immune system interacts with stem cells, particularly in the context of tumor immunotherapy and stem cell transplantation. The successful candidates will engage in multidisciplinary research aimed at uncovering the immune privilege of stem cell niches and their implications for regenerative medicine and cancer.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on the interplay between stem cells and the immune system.
  • Utilize various experimental approaches including transgenic animal models and human samples.
  • Perform RNA/TCR sequencing and spatial transcriptomics.
  • Engage in intravital two-photon microscopy to study stem cell niches.
  • Collaborate with team members on multidisciplinary research projects.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree in a relevant field.
  • Expertise in stem cell biology, immunology, cancer biology, RNA/DNA sequencing, T cell receptor sequencing, cell reprogramming, or computational biology is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with transgenic animal models.
  • Familiarity with spatial transcriptomics techniques.
  • Background in Treg biology.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work in a prestigious research environment at Harvard Medical School.
  • Access to advanced research facilities and resources.
  • Collaboration with leading experts in the field.
