Are you passionate about applying computational methods and modeling to improve the understanding of material microstructure? The Computational Materials Science department at Sandia National Labs is seeking a Postdoctoral Appointee in the area of mesoscale modeling and simulation for advanced manufacturing. A successful applicant will be expected to work on one or two projects in the areas of metal additive manufacturing, thermal spray deposition, and crystallization of molecular solids. Successful applicants will be expected to use existing simulation capabilities within Sandia's Open Source SPPARKS code and develop extensions to these capabilities. Due to the nature of the work the selected applicant must be able to work onsite in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Relocation will be provided for those that qualify.
