About the position

The Postdoctoral Associate position in Optogenetics, Voltage Imaging, and All-Optical Electrophysiology at Baylor College of Medicine offers a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary research in neuroscience. Responsibilities

  • Conducts research projects, both independently and with others.
  • Purchases, sets up and maintains equipment necessary to conduct the research project.
  • Teaches techniques, procedures, and experimental design to other members of the lab.
  • Communicates research results during group meetings and conferences.

Requirements

  • MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • No experience required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Recent Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, protein engineering, synthetic biology, electrophysiology, advanced microscopy, optics, and/or machine learning relevant fields.
  • Publishing experience: Candidates must have published or submitted a minimum of 1 first-author paper in a high-impact peer-reviewed English-language journal.
