About the position

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in maintaining the functionality and operations of the Principal Investigator's laboratory.
• Promote a positive work environment and lead the team to achieve optimal department results.
• Collaborate with department members by actively communicating and reporting data comprehensively.
• Model effective communication skills, including active listening and teaching, to team members.
• Develop research methods and perform research activities.
• Document research results and write reports for presentation and publication.
• Follow all safety rules and report accidents promptly.
• Assist with the implementation of department-based safety initiatives and protocols.
• Identify opportunities for corrective action and process improvement.
• Utilize resources effectively and manage time to achieve maximum results.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical school or Terminal Degree in a related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of biomedical research.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers.
• Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in teaching or mentoring others.
• Familiarity with clinical trials and FDA approval processes.
