The role focuses on cancer research, particularly analyzing molecular mechanisms of tumor initiation and progression, with an emphasis on breast and cervical cancer. The fellow will engage in various experimental approaches, including single-cell genomics and CRISPR gene editing, to contribute to the understanding of genomic instability and its impact on cancer treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent laboratory research under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI).
  • Assist the PI and study staff on ongoing research involving experimental and bioinformatics studies in cancer research.
  • Aid the PI with preparing, cleaning, analyzing data, and preparing manuscripts, reports, and presentations.
  • Perform experimental approaches including single-cell genomics by next-generation sequencing, in situ single-cell analyses of DNA and RNA, and CRISPR gene editing.
  • Prepare written reports of research experiments.
  • Prepare grant proposals based on research conducted.
  • Give oral presentations of the research.

Requirements

  • Doctoral Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in laboratory research, particularly in cancer research, is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice-to-haves
