The University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, Department of BioMolecular Sciences is searching for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the field of Molecular Toxicology for a position that is available immediately. The successful candidate will join an active NIH-funded research program coupling developmental and molecular toxicology. The overall goal of this project is to understand the persistent developmental deficits following cannabinoid exposure. Specifically, we will establish mechanistic relationships between altered gene and protein expression in the brain to altered neuroinflammation and behavior. The candidate will use zebrafish as the animal model to define for cannabinoid exposure: the most sensitive developmental exposure windows; and the dose- and sex-dependence of adverse outcomes.
