About the position

The University of Nebraska Medical Center is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join Dr. Jennifer Bailey-Lundberg's laboratory in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology. This full-time position focuses on investigating tumor ablation combined with immunotherapy, specifically examining how these therapies affect the tumor microenvironment and immune response in pancreatic cancer. The role involves leading experiments, utilizing preclinical models, and analyzing human samples from clinical trials, while also contributing to a collaborative research environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead experiments investigating the tumor microenvironment and immune response alterations induced by ablation therapies.
  • Utilize preclinical models and analyze human samples from ongoing clinical trials.
  • Engage in the training and mentoring of graduate students.
  • Participate in lab meetings and contribute to a collaborative research environment.

Requirements

  • PhD in molecular biology, immunology, genetics, cell biology, or a related field (obtained within the past three years).
  • Strong background in experimental design and execution related to immunology or cancer research.
  • Highly motivated, independent, and hypothesis-driven scientist.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
