The Cedars-Sinai Cancer Institute is seeking a highly motivated Post-Doctoral Scientist to join Dr. Sean Li's lab, which focuses on understanding the biological mechanisms behind sex differences in bladder cancer. This position is part of a well-established research program that has transitioned from Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The lab utilizes cutting-edge -omics technologies, innovative animal cancer models, and organoids to explore the genetic, epigenetic, immune, and microbiota factors contributing to sex and gender disparities in bladder cancer. The successful candidate will engage in ongoing projects that also include benign urologic diseases, such as bladder regeneration and repair. As a Post-Doctoral Scientist, you will have the opportunity to develop your research skills, critical thinking, scientific writing, and leadership abilities while contributing to a pioneering field of cancer research. You will work closely with the Principal Investigator and other research scientists, making significant contributions to project development, experimental design, data collection, and interpretation. The role also involves presenting findings at departmental and national meetings and publishing original research manuscripts as both a first and co-author.
