About the position

The Postgraduate Intern position at BCM Ventures offers a temporary professional learning experience for recent graduates, allowing them to gain practical work experience in technology commercialization. Interns will work closely with licensing managers to evaluate new inventions and contribute to the commercialization process, which includes patenting and licensing technologies developed from faculty research.

Responsibilities

• Develop specific marketing summaries describing technologies and related intellectual property.
• Identify companies that are active within a particular market where BCM technologies can create value.
• Discover strategic information on each company and market-specific intellectual property landscapes.
• Perform technological and market feasibility assessments for nascent BCM technologies.
• Assist with intellectual property novelty and freedom-to-operate searches and other related tasks.

Requirements

• Completion of postsecondary applicable degree/training program.
