About the position

We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL Senior Developer to join our team at OrangePeople. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing software applications using PostgreSQL technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PostgreSQL development and will be excited to tackle complex business challenges while contributing to a leading brand in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software applications using PostgreSQL.
• Rewrite Oracle PL/SQL code into PostgreSQL efficiently without compromising data quality.
• Participate in monthly team meetings and team-building efforts.
• Contribute to technical discussions and peer reviews.
• Provide status reports to account management as requested.

Requirements

• Expert in PostgreSQL development for stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL database design principles, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Ability to rewrite Oracle PL/SQL code into PostgreSQL efficiently.
• Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL is required.
• Experience with EDB PostgreSQL and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in working with high availability, scalable environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Good to have PostgreSQL DBA experience.
• Good to have AWS Cloud Certification.
