About the position

The Child Care Teacher (Infant) position at Ebenezer's Pillars Child Care Center involves caring for infants and supporting the intergenerational childcare program. The role includes leading and organizing age-appropriate activities, supervising assistant teachers, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. The center is located in a vibrant community setting, providing a unique opportunity to engage with both children and seniors.

Responsibilities

• Implement developmentally age-appropriate curriculum.
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans.
• Assess each child's development and conduct Parent/Teacher conferences twice per year.
• Maintain a child-friendly and orderly classroom.
• Implement effective guidance and support strategies.
• Connect with parents on child development issues, policies, and concerns related to their children.
• Report any concerns to the director regarding staff or classroom issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and information of staff and families.
• Participate in program areas such as intergenerational activities.
• Supervise health, safety, and overall wellbeing of the children at all times.
• Maintain certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT.

Requirements

• High school Diploma/GED - Child Development or Teacher qualified under Minnesota Rule 9503.0032.
• Ability to lift 40lbs.
• CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• 1-2 years' experience working with young children.
