About the position

The Child Care Teacher at Ebenezer Ridges Care Center is responsible for supporting the Intergenerational childcare program by caring for children in their assigned age group. This role involves leading, planning, and organizing age-appropriate activities to ensure high-quality childcare. The teacher will also supervise assistant teachers and aides, assess children's development, and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement developmentally age-appropriate curriculum.
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans.
• Assess each child's development and conduct Parent/Teacher conferences twice per year.
• Maintain a child-friendly and orderly classroom.
• Implement effective guidance and support strategies.
• Connect with parents on child development issues, policies, and other concerns related to their children.
• Report any concerns to the director regarding staff or classroom issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of records and information of staff and families.
• Participate in program areas such as intergenerational activities.
• Supervise health, safety, and overall well-being of the children at all times.
• Maintain certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT.

Requirements

• High school Diploma/GED - Child Development or Teacher qualified under Minnesota Rule 9503.0032.
• Ability to lift 40lbs.
• CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• 1-2 years' experience working with young children.
