About The Position

Postpartum RN's work in the unit of a hospital is the area where babies and new moms recover after birth. Although the length of stay can vary depending on the type of delivery and complications, most women with uncomplicated deliveries go home within a few days.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Must pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.
• Must have an active state RN license.
• Availability to submit a minimum of 2 shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to postpartum mothers and their newborns.
• Monitor patients' recovery after childbirth.
• Assist with breastfeeding and newborn care education.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality care.
