About the position

The Pouch Room Operator at Kraft Heinz is responsible for operating multiple pouch machines safely and efficiently while conducting quality control audits of liquid drink pouches. This role involves ensuring optimal machine performance, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Start up, operate, and shut down pouch forming, cooling, sealing, straw strip placement, coding, and conveying systems of the pouch machine.
• Make packaging roll changes as needed.
• Optimize equipment uptime; monitor mechanical operation of equipment and unjam machines.
• Help troubleshoot mechanical problems and notify technician of issues.
• Supervise quality issues and perform checks on pouch visual points of quality.
• Conduct vacuum tests and check for seal alignment as prescribed.
• Ensure adequate quantities of accurate rotated foil stock (FIFO) are available and tested.
• Complete all required audits.
• Document pouches material losses, downtime, and production totals; palletize finished boxes of pouches.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
