About the position

OMT-Veyhl is seeking a dedicated Powder Coat Painter for the 1st Shift, responsible for ensuring high-quality powder coating of metal components. The role emphasizes a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to meet customer specifications and deadlines. The position operates Monday through Friday, with potential overtime and weekend work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Turn on powder coat system and prepare for the day's activities.
• Powder coat metal components at a high level of quality to meet specifications.
• Maintain quality of powder finish and wash.
• Identify quality problems in gloss, evenness of finish, and color.
• Maintain powder coat equipment.
• Assure proper powder is used according to specifications.
• Store powder correctly.
• Assist with loading and unloading metal components from the Powder Coat line as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade school education is helpful.
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment minimum.
• Powder coat experience is desirable.
• Self-motivated and energetic with a quality mindset.
• Mechanically minded with respect for equipment and cleanliness of work area.
• Excellent color vision and visual acuity to see quality and finish defects.
• Computer skills are helpful.
• Must be a team player and service-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in powder coating processes.
• Background in technical or trade school education.
