About the position
The Powder Coating Technician role at KeyLink involves the daily operation of powder coating procedures, ensuring quality and efficiency in the manufacturing process. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the team. The technician will be responsible for maintaining equipment, organizing the work area, and supporting the company's values of respect and safety.
Responsibilities
- Support company values and mission through respect, continuous improvement, and safety.
- Apply Lean Thinking to teamwork and processes.
- Daily operation of powder coating procedures and other operations.
- Daily organizing and cleaning of the powder area.
- Basic setup and shutdown of the powder coating facility and equipment.
- Maintaining wash system and testing for quality.
- Actively participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement within a team.
- Support and help in other areas as the manufacturing schedule dictates.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of powder coat ovens and wash systems.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to pay close attention to detail.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior use of GEMA and Nordson Powder coating guns.
- Minimum of one year's powder coating experience.
- Valid Driver's license to drive between local sites is preferred.
