About the position

The Power BI Administrator will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the Microsoft Power BI environment at Miller Electric Mfg. LLC. This role involves optimizing tenant data storage, managing Capacity Units, and ensuring data connection and security capabilities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable data models while providing technical leadership to junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Power BI Administration tools to monitor the health and improve the performance and reliability of the Power BI environment.
• Optimize performance and efficiency of Power BI reports and queries through data modeling and optimization techniques.
• Design and implement data models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data needs, and provide innovative solutions to address challenges.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior members of the team, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Power BI and related technologies, recommending opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Create and maintain documentation related to data sources, data models, and Power BI solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Power BI solutions with existing systems and applications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI Administration.
• Experience with Azure Data Engineering, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Storage Account, SQL, and Python.
• Strong communication and business analyst skills to collaborate with business stakeholders.

• Expertise in Power BI Administration
• Exposure to Scrum Agile methodology
• Experience with relational databases and Azure Data Lake
• Experience with Power BI Deployment Pipelines
• Experience in database migration from on-premises to the cloud using Azure Managed Instance
• Possess Microsoft Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate.
