About the position

The Power BI Analyst position at IDEALFORCE involves developing and testing Power BI dashboards that replicate functionalities from existing Tableau dashboards. The role requires close collaboration with project managers, technical leads, and business analysts to gather requirements from various stakeholders, ensuring that customer needs are prioritized throughout the project. The analyst will also engage with software developers and quality assurance teams to deliver effective data visualizations and insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test Power BI dashboards based on Tableau counterparts.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical leads, and business analysts to gather requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders including program users and subject matter experts.
• Work with software developers and quality assurance teams to meet customer needs.
• Translate customer needs into functional and nonfunctional requirements.
• Design and build data visualizations using appropriate chart types to highlight data patterns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree plus Power BI Data Analyst professional certification.
• At least 5 years of experience working with Power BI.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in eliciting requirements for midsize to large projects.
• Proficiency in managing multiple dashboards or priorities.
• Excellent documentation skills, including visual process or project artifacts.
• Experience quantifying, tabulating, and analyzing large complex volumes of data.

Nice-to-haves

• Expert level in Power BI.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Jira or other ticketing systems.
• Familiarity with Google Suite tools and Office Products.
