About the position

The BI Analyst will join the Data Strategy and BI team at Insight Global, focusing on collecting, managing, and stewarding business data for various stakeholders within a complex enterprise system. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining insightful business analyses and scalable reporting products primarily using Power BI. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL and Power BI skills, along with the ability to engage with stakeholders effectively to interpret requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and steward insightful business analysis and scalable reporting products primarily in Power BI.
• Collect, manage, and steward a complex suite of business data for a broad array of stakeholders.
• Interpret requirements from stakeholders and provide consultative recommendations.
• Create custom SQL queries to wrangle data and generate reports.
• Perform ETL tasks, including experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Move reports from Alteryx to Power BI.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on SQL skills for data wrangling and custom query creation.
• Advanced Power BI skills for creating custom reports, dashboards, and data sets.
• Experience working with large sets of complex data such as financial, sales, and supply chain data.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience interpreting and refining requirements.
• Some experience performing ETL tasks, particularly with Azure Data Factory.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Alteryx or transitioning reports from Alteryx to Power BI.
