About the position

The PowerBI Analyst for the Couplings Division will be responsible for utilizing and developing reporting capabilities within PowerBI to support Coupling's sales and business analysis. This position plays a crucial role in collecting, consolidating, and maintaining data by utilizing existing tools along with the development of new tools and processes. The analyst will leverage thoughtful review and experience to help summarize and bring meaning to the data, facilitating management decision-making. This role is essential in ensuring that the Couplings Division has accurate and actionable insights derived from data analysis, which will support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency. In this position, the analyst will prepare Division sales mix reports and presentations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. They will conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational, and other ad hoc research and analysis to support strategic and business planning. The analyst will also be responsible for collecting and consolidating various sales-related inputs for reporting, compliance, and policy deployment. Additionally, they will develop and send out daily group sales and bookings reports to management, prepare and support strategic pricing reports to facilitate pricing actions, and extract and review sales funnel details for trend and development analysis. The analyst will participate in sales funnel improvement events and projects, create dashboards to track product, brand, and seller performance, and build, program, or maintain automated reports in various business intelligence systems. Routine review and refreshing of master data will also be part of their responsibilities. Furthermore, the analyst will assist with the preparation of Business Unit and Division annual sales budgets, drive lead/opportunity analysis and development dashboards, and support growth initiatives such as target development. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Division sales mix reports and presentations by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Extract and review sales funnel detail for purposes of trend and development analysis.
  • Participate in sales funnel improvement events and projects.
  • Create dashboards to track product, brand, and seller performance.
  • Build, program, or maintain automated reports in various business intelligence systems.
  • Routinely review and help refresh master data.
  • Assist with preparation of Business Unit and Division annual sales budgets.
  • Drive lead/opportunity analysis and development dashboard.
  • Support growth initiatives (target development, etc).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, IT, or related field required or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related analyst experience required.
  • Experience implementing data-driven changes and exposure to lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Proven experience with advanced Power BI report creation, import/export, and data management.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills to include the ability to synthesize, interpret, and clearly and concisely summarize large amounts of data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel. Ability to generate macros is strongly desired.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt and present information to varied audiences ranging at all levels.
  • Strong orientation to details, with a high degree of accuracy, and excellent outcomes.
  • Self-directed and self-motivated with a drive for results. Highly productive while maintaining personal accountability for achieving defined objectives.

  • OneStream or similar financial consolidation system is preferred.
