About the position

The Power BI Analyst role at HuFriedy Group is a critical position that focuses on evaluating and developing performance review processes for the Continuous Improvement (CI) team. This role is integral in collaborating with management to define business objectives and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) that will help manage and assess objective outcomes. The Power BI Analyst will leverage empirical data analysis to provide actionable recommendations to senior management, ensuring that data-driven decisions are made to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. In this position, you will work closely with the senior management team and operation-level managers to design and maintain business intelligence (BI)-based reporting. This includes developing graphs, reports, and presentations that effectively communicate complex data insights. You will perform basic statistical analyses and design, create, and present dashboards that visualize data in a meaningful way. As a member of the business intelligence team, you will participate in defining the requirements for data warehousing and analytical data structures, ensuring that the data collected is relevant and actionable. Your responsibilities will also include identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets, and introducing policy recommendations based on your findings. You will drive results by reviewing analysis and performance metrics with key management personnel, designing data models, and building reports and data visualizations that align with strategic initiatives defined by senior management. Additionally, you will compile information from various databases and data systems to integrate collected data into management-level reporting, utilizing a variety of technologies to develop and distribute business intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and develop performance review processes for the Continuous Improvement (CI) team.
  • Work with management to define business objectives and establish KPIs.

  • Work with technologies to design and develop business intelligence solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 3 years or more of experience in Power BI designing, analyzing, translating, and presenting complex data.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and data visualization techniques.
  • Experience translating and documenting business needs to technical requirements.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of Power BI.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with developing and implementing educational curriculum on reporting definitions and capabilities.
  • Key knowledge of statistics sufficient to interpret and communicate statistical results.
  • Understanding of business analytics related to sales, operational, and financial performance.
  • Ability to read and write basic SQL.
  • Experience with Tableau, Crystal Reports, advanced MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • SAP experience.
