About the position
The Power BI Consultant role is a contract position based in White Plains, NY, primarily remote with potential onsite requirements. The consultant will focus on transitioning from Excel-based reports to Power BI solutions, leveraging advanced data querying and transformation skills to enhance reporting capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct reports-based planning and discovery for Power BI solutions.
- Utilize advanced SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
- Develop and implement DAX calculations for Power BI reports.
- Manage data movement and transformation using Azure Data Factory.
- Create Azure Function Apps using Python for data processing.
- Oversee data ingestion processes via APIs and programmatically.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in data analytics and reporting.
- Advanced-level SQL skills, particularly with MSSQL.
- Advanced-level DAX expertise for Power BI.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory for data movement and transformation.
- Proficiency in Python for developing Azure Function Apps.
