About the position

US Tech Solutions is seeking a skilled Power BI Developer for a 4-month contract position. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, designing, and deploying intuitive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards that meet the business intelligence requirements of our clients. This role involves implementing data models and schemas that support these requirements, ensuring that the data is accurate and reliable. The Power BI Developer will conduct thorough data analysis and present findings to stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making processes. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Power BI Developer will work closely with IT teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity. The candidate will also be tasked with optimizing the performance of Power BI reports, utilizing features such as Incremental Refresh to enhance efficiency. Staying up to date with the latest features and best practices in Power BI is essential, as is providing end-user training and support as needed. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and deploy intuitive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Implement data models and schemas that support business intelligence requirements.
• Conduct data analysis and present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Optimize the performance of Power BI reports and utilize Incremental Refresh.
• Stay up to date with the latest features and best practices in Power BI.
• Provide end-user training and support as needed.

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of experience in Power BI development and data modeling.
• Strong proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M Query.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and SQL.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the energy sector or with utility companies.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services.
• Certification in Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst is a plus.
