About the position

The Senior BI Developer/Data Engineer role at Kforce involves configuring, developing, and debugging reports in Power BI, while also teaching and upskilling teammates. The position requires effective interaction with business partners to understand requirements and assist in creating technical specifications. The role also includes participation in architecture and product implementation discussions, as well as building visually appealing dashboards and implementing process improvements based on best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, develop, and debug reports in Power BI and analyze data
  • Teach and upskill teammates
  • Update and track tasks in JIRA
  • Build, update, and maintain technical documentation
  • Interact effectively with business partners to understand business requirements and assist in the creation of technical requirements
  • Participate in architecture, technical design, and product implementation discussions
  • Build visually appealing dashboards following best coding practices and solve user requirements on reporting
  • Implement standard methodology acquired through prior experience for any process improvement

Requirements

  • Experience with Power Apps Studio and app designer
  • Advanced knowledge of Power Apps Studio and app designer software
  • Knowledge of Gateways, data sources, and connectors
  • Capable of writing complex SQL expressions and DAX functions
  • Ability to implement business process automation using Power Automate, including creating custom connectors and managing flow performance
  • Collaborative mindset and experience in working on Agile teams
  • Expertise in building and integrating custom applications (Power Apps) with Power BI
  • Expert knowledge of Power BI and building complex DAX Functions
  • Capable of visualizing information that's intuitive and enables insights
  • Demonstrated ability working in Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, DOMO is an advantage)
  • Good understanding of SDLC and the various stages in the software lifecycle
  • Experience working with Data Warehousing, dimensional data modeling and relational database concepts
  • Proficient in writing back to the file/database using Power Apps
  • Good understanding of data modeling techniques and able to model relationships between different objects
  • Experience in creating custom applications and canvas reports using Power Apps and automating manual processes with Power Automate
  • Proficient in designing, developing, and implementing automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes
  • Ability to integrate Power Automate with various data sources and services, including SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other third-party applications
  • Experience in creating and managing complex workflows, including approval processes, notifications, and data synchronization
  • Comfortable in writing complex SQL queries to perform analysis for any data issues
  • Knowledge of Cloud and Big Data Concepts and tools - AWS, Data Lake, Snowflake, etc.
  • Strong analytical, technical skills to address complicated business challenges
