About the position

The Power BI Developer role is a full-time contract position focused on developing and optimizing SQL reports and data integration solutions. The developer will work extensively with Microsoft tools and technologies, particularly Power BI and SQL Server, to create robust data models and ensure alignment with business processes and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create and fine-tune SQL reports from various relational databases.
• Design robust Logical Data Models and steward data design solutions.
• Develop, debug, and support complex data integration interfaces and processes.
• Monitor report performance and take corrective actions to optimize performance.
• Execute and test batch jobs for enterprise-wide systems.

Requirements

• At least five (5) years of experience as a reports developer with SQL reports.
• Experience designing and developing data integration processes using SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, T-SQL, and SQL Server.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Experience with Microsoft products/tools such as Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services.
• At least two (2) years of experience executing and testing batch jobs.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience developing SQL Reports for a Pension Administration System.
• Three (3) or more years of experience with requirement elicitation methodologies.
• Experience in Data Integration, Data Conversion, and ETL.
• Familiarity with Team Foundation Server (TFS).
• Experience with Test Application Lifecycle Management tools.
