About the position

The Power BI Developer at Silver Lands Management is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Power BI solutions to meet business reporting needs. This role requires a strong background in data extraction and transformation, as well as effective data visualization skills to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models to meet business requirements.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Automate data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Optimize and maintain existing Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and usability.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through rigorous data validation processes.
• Create and maintain documentation for Power BI solutions, including data sources, models, and reports.
• Provide training and support to end-users on how to use Power BI tools effectively.
• Stay up-to-date with Power BI features and best practices, and recommend enhancements to existing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
• Proven experience in data extraction and transformation across various platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, Excel, cloud services).
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
• Proficient in SQL and experience with database management systems.
• Experience with app creation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with additional data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.) is a plus.
• Familiarity with AppFolio data extraction is a plus.
