About the position

The Power BI Developer at 9th Way Insignia will be responsible for producing and maintaining Power BI reports, structuring data, and developing capabilities to meet both existing and emerging requirements. This role involves working within the Office of Performance Analysis and Integrity to enhance the Veterans Benefits Administration's Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and provide technical services for data analytics and business intelligence capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain Power BI reports.
• Structure data in Power BI.
• Engineer and develop Power BI capabilities to align with existing and emerging requirements.
• Participate in team calls and meetings.
• Provide accurate and timely status reports on the progress of assigned tasks.
• Provide data and performance metrics for official reporting deliverables.
• Coach and mentor lesser experienced junior developers.
• Create and maintain documentation on Power BI processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or other technical disciplines (an additional 8 years of relevant work experience can substitute for degree).
• 8+ years of relevant experience including 4+ years' experience developing Power BI dashboarding and reporting products, especially data warehousing solutions.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Oracle and Tableau.
• Knowledge of VBA and desktop administration.
• Familiarity with SDLC.
